Student Mail

All Miramar residents will be provided a mailbox for FREE! Miramar students do not need to register for a mailbox, you will be automatically registered.

Momentum or Off-Campus students may rent a mailbox for the mail services delivery. The semester fee is $25, and the annual fee is $40.

To ensure proper delivery, please use the following address format. When your package arrives on campus, we will look you up by name and notify you through your Islander email that your package is available for pick. The customer service window is open Monday-Friday 8:15 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Tips for Students and Parents

• Always include a return address on all mail.
• SandDollar$ Services uses the official student resident roster to sort student mail and packages. Mail and packages sent to names that are not on the roster will not be deliverable. 
• Residents are responsible for updating their addresses with the U.S. Post Office and with the university.
• Students should contact SandDollar$ Services when expecting medication that requires refrigeration to arrange for prompt pickup.
• Resident students are encouraged to track mail of critical importance, such as passports, credit cards, medicine, glasses, etc., via signature confirmation, certified, or registered mail.
• Avoid sending anything of monetary value via standard USPS letter mail.

Mail and packages are received and processed Monday through Friday for  Miramar residences, and students with a SandDollar$ Services registered box.  Students are notified through their Islander email when a package is ready for pickup.   While your carrier may have sent you an email stating your package has been delivered to TAMU-CC, SandDollar$ Services needs time to sort and process those packages for delivery to you.   Package processing time may vary depending on incoming volume.  However, we make every effort to have all packages processed and available for pickup within 24 hours of receipt. 

Outgoing mail in a stamped or postage-paid envelope can be dropped in the outgoing mail slot in the mailboxes located by the SandDollar$ Services customer windows in the University Center. There are also several U.S. Postal drop boxes around campus.

Ship your packages through SandDollar$ Services via the USPS or FedEx.  We sell postage stamps (singles, books, or rolls) and shipping supplies, including a variety of boxes, packaging tape, bubble wrap and more everything to meet your shipping needs.

SandDollar$ Services is closed on University holidays and closure dates.

Whether it is at the end of each semester, moving off-campus, or graduating:  It is YOUR responsibility to change your local address with the University when you leave Miramar housing.  To continue uninterrupted mail services, please do one of the following:

1. Visit the nearest US Post Office located at 1345 Crescent Dr., Corpus Christi, Texas 78412, and complete a Mail Forwarding form (PS Form 3575).

OR

2. Go to the US Postal Service website and follow the instructions to forward your mail.

               *Please note there is a $1.00 US Postal Service fee for their online service.

Only your first-class mail will be forwarded to your new address for 30 days.  It is your responsibility to contact vendors to update addresses.   After 30 days, all mail, including first-class mail, will be returned to the U.S. Postal Service and marked “return to sender”.  No mail will be forwarded during holidays and university breaks. We will not forward any mail to international addresses, U.S. addresses only. *Residential students that are moving within the same or different residential facilities do not have to complete this form.

In alignment with our sustainability efforts and to prevent large amounts of paper waste on campus, Mail Services has streamlined the procedure for sorting the unsolicited mail, or junk mail, it receives. “Junk mail” is unsolicited, standard mail that is addressed to “Occupant” or “Resident.” Once received from the United States Postal Service (USPS), the “junk mail” is removed from the delivery process and recycled.
