Meal Memberships

Meal memberships at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi provide flexibility, convenience, and value for students living on campus or commuting. Each membership includes a combination of meal swipes, Dining Dollars, and meal trades, giving you access to the Islander Dining Hall and campus retail locations.

How Meal Memberships Work

  • Dining at the Islander Dining Hall: Swipe your SandDollar$ Card or scan your phone at the entrance register at the Islander Dining Hall. Each swipe counts as one meal and provides all‑you‑care‑to‑eat access during that visit, based on your meal plan for the semester.
  • Dining at Retail Locations: When dining at a retail location on campus you can use either a meal trade or dining dollars.
  • Using Meal Trades: Running low on Dining Dollars? Use a meal trade instead. Meal trades allow you to exchange a meal swipe for a combo meal at select retail locations, including Chick‑fil‑A, Panda Express, Salty Seagull, and the Market inside the Dining Hall giving you added flexibility with your meal plan.

Know your Food

Understanding what’s in your food is an important part of feeling your best on campus. At Islander Dining Hall, menu icons are designed to make that easier—helping students quickly identify foods that align with dietary preferences, sensitivities, or goals like eating clean. Whether you’re avoiding certain ingredients, managing an intolerance, or simply looking for more mindful choices, these labels give you the confidence to navigate each meal with clarity. Just look for the icons on menus as you explore your options and choose what works best for you.
