Internships

All Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi business majors are eligible to participate in a summer internship with a Texas employer or in Querétaro, Mexico through a reciprocal exchange. Students may apply for an internship with second semester junior standing or above and with a grade point average of 2.75 in their upper division work, 9 hours upper division work complete in major, and 12 hours of upper division general course work completed. Accounting majors are required to have 12 hours of upper division course work in accounting complete and an upper level GPA of 3.0 or higher to apply for an internship. Students receive three hours of credit for the experience (business elective) as well as a grade. The course grade will be given by the faculty sponsor who will consider the supervisor evaluation, the oral presentation, and the written report. There will be an end-of-semester evaluation by the supervisor.


Scholarships

The College of Business offers scholarships for current students and transfer students.  Scholarships for current students are awarded annually on a competitive basis. To be eligible, students must be admitted to the College of Business at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.  Students also must be full-time degree seeking and have a minimum transfer GPA of 3.0.  Applications should be submitted here by March 1. Scholarships for transfer students will be renewed for a second year if the student maintains a GPA of 3.5.
