Biography 

Amir M. Hormozi earned his Ph.D. in operations management from the University of Houston.  He has a total of 21 refereed journal articles and 72 refereed proceedings in areas of operations/manufacturing strategy, quality, environmental issues, and etc. Dr. Hormozi has served in several high capacity academic and business related positions. He is past chair of national remanufacturing group of APICS.   Past member of national repetitive manufacturing group of APICS.  Past president of the Detroit Chapter of APICS.  Academically, he has served in positions such as program chair for INFORMS, track chair for National Decision Sciences Institute, PhD dissertation consortium chair for Production Operations Society, Conference chair for Remanufacturing SIG conference, and etc.  Dr. Hormozi has over 30 years of experience in training and implementation of manufacturing planning and control systems and in the past has consulted for a variety of for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.
