Semester Requirements

FISA expectations are set at the beginning of each semester and must be met by the posted deadlines to maintain active membership. 

Active status is required to: 

  • Remain eligible for semester-based lottery scholarships 
  • Continue accessing FISA benefits 

Your specific expectations are based on your assigned tier level.

All members must complete Orientation at beginning of semester.  

 

Please read about each type of CHANGE requirement to expectation using the tabs below. 

FISA no longer accepts meetings or events completed with other groups (SSS-STEM, SSS-Teacher Prep, GTF Islander Scholars Program, McNair Scholars, Island Harbor, etc.) 

FISA member expectations—such as attending meetings, events, community service, and supplemental activities—apply only during the Fall and Spring semesters. There are no required activities during Summer or Winter Break. 

Summer Access for Continuing Members 
Members enrolled in both the Spring semester and summer courses are eligible to use the following services: 

  • Free Printing Services 
  • Study Lounge Access 
  • School & Hygiene Care Closet (use subject to standard procedures) 

While meetings are not required during the summer, members may request one via email if needed.
