Volunteer for Corpus Christi Regional Science Olympiad

Corpus Christi Regional Science Olympiad (CCRSO)

Thank you for your interest in volunteering.  At Science Olympiad, we have 11 teams of high school students participating in 25+ events.  We have lots of things to do.

• Fri Feb 23, afternoon until 5pm, CI-113:
  • Tournament setup.  This includes some decorating/signage and moving things to CI-113.
• Sat Feb 24, 7am-6pm, in shifts, checkin CI-113:
  • Tournament Management.  Assist in registration of participating teams in for the day and point them to their homerooms.  Sign in volunteers and distribute nametags.  Accept scores from events, keep the tally of the tournament (an Excel spreadsheet is already set up), and provide final results.
  • Event setup, proctoring/monitoring, judging.  Each event has an "Event Supervisor" who needs lots of help in making sure their event(s) run well.
  • Awards Ceremony.  Setup and monitoring.
  • General runners.  As needed, guide participants around campus, fill in where events need more hands, deliver last-minute supplies, etc.

Please complete two online forms for us to get you set up as a Science Olympiad volunteer.

• 10-minute Science Olympiad, Inc. Volunteer Training.  A big component of this is youth protection, to ensure a safe, wholesome experience for students participating in the tournament.  On Page 10, you are a Division B or C Tournament Volunteer, or perhaps an Event Supervisor.
• 2024 CCRSO Volunteer Signup.  Let us know what part of the Olympiad you can help with.
