College of Science

The College of Science at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi offers undergraduate and graduate programs in basic and applied sciences. Through classroom, laboratory, and research experiences, students develop knowledge and practical experience in their chosen fields while learning from faculty committed to their success.

Research

Research is an important part of the College of Science academic experience. Undergraduate and graduate students have opportunities to participate in research alongside faculty, gaining practical experience that complements classroom and laboratory learning. Research opportunities span Chemistry and Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics, and Physical and Environmental Sciences.

The College supports basic and applied research through specialized laboratories, facilities, and research centers. College-affiliated resources include the Center for Coastal Studies, Center for Water Supply Studies, Ruth O'Brien Herbarium, Isotope Core Lab, and Laboratory for Environmental Health, with research addressing areas such as coastal and marine ecosystems, water resources, biological sciences, geology, and environmental science.
