University Singers (MUEN 1151/3151)
The University Singers perform choral literature ranging from Renaissance motets to spirituals and contemporary avant-grade compositions. Performances presented by the 60-voice mixed ensemble include fall and spring concerts in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) as well as community appearances and occasional collaborative performances with the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra. Open to all TAMUCC students, the ensemble rehearses Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-6:00pm and is conducted by Dr. Liz Olson. Please contact Dr. Liz Olson for additional information.
Corpus Christi Chorale (MUEN 1143/3143)
The Corpus Christi Chorale is an auditioned community chorus affiliated with Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi that welcomes adults and college/university students within its ranks. The mixed ensemble performs choral/orchestral masterworks as well as standards from the a cappella choral repertoire. The Chorale often collaborates with the Corpus Christi Symphony as well as other Coastal Bend choral ensembles. Islander Voices (MUEN 1153/3153)
Islander Voices is an auditioned vocal quartet and student collaborative pianist that presents performances each semester on campus, in local public schools, and throughout the wider Corpus Christi community. This ensemble sings an extensive range of music from opera scenes to vocal chamber music. Rehearsing once a week based on student availability, this ensemble also serves as the outreach ensemble to encourage students in grade school to continue their musical passions at the university level.
