Dr. Firestein’s talk titled “The Optimism of Scientific Uncertainty” will explore how curiosity, questioning, and even failure drives scientific progress. As the author of Ignorance: How It Drives Science and also Failure: Why Science Is So Successful, he challenges conventional thinking and highlights the vital role of the unknown in discovery.
