Surveys & Results

PAIRS cyclically administers surveys that have widespread institutional value. For the purposes of alleviating survey fatigue among the populations at TAMU-CC, most major surveys are only administered once every two years. Year indicate when the survey was administered and reporting is completed at the close of the administration cycle. Please see the Survey Administration Schedule.

For questions or further analysis, please submit a Data Request Form. Breakout reports are available by request to authorized individuals (Deans, program directors, Department chairs, etc.) when there are a sufficient number of respondents in a given category (i.e. first generation, major, gender, level, etc.)


Data from these surveys are under review and can be provided upon request. Please submit a data request through our Data Request Form if you are in need of any survey data.

SURVEYS

  • Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement (BCSSE)
    Measures high school engagement, perceived preparedness, and anticipated college engagement.
    Purpose: Current students enrolled in UCCP courses.
  • BCSSE/NSSE Combined Report
    Compares expected engagement with actual first year engagement.
    Purpose: First year students who took both the BCSSE in the fall and NSSE in the spring
  • Faculty Survey Student Engagement (FSSE)
    (Compliments to the NSSE) Instructional Staff perceptions of student engagement and interactions.
  • Graduating Student Survey (GSS)
    Measures attitudes and behaviors of students, as well as evaluation of services campus wide.
    Purpose: Census sample of all students who complete an application for graduation.
  • Higher Education Research Institute's Survey of Faculty (HERI)
    Measures faculty attitudes and behaviors with a national comparison.
    Purpose: All full-time faculty.
  • National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) Comprehensive
    Measures student engagement in academic and non-academic activities.
    Purpose: Current first year and senior students.
  • Noel-Levitz Students Satisfaction Inventory
    Student satisfaction with various facets of campus with a national comparison.
    Purpose: Stratified random sample of all current students.
  • Survey of Employee Engagement, Overall
    Measures attitudes of staff towards experience at TAMUCC and feelings about the campus as a whole.
    Purpose: Census sample of all benefits eligible staff.
  • Undergraduate Student Survey (USS)
    Measures attitudes and behaviors of students, as well as evaluation of services campus wide.
    Purpose: All current sophomore and junior level students.
