U.S. News & World Report Declares TAMU-CC Online Master’s in Nursing Programs Among Best in the Nation

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CONHS) at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is taking its place among the 2023 Best Online Master of Nursing (MSN) Programs according to U.S. News & World Report. The TAMU-CC online MSN programs collectively rank No. 53 out of 203 similar programs from around the nation.

U.S. News assessed online MSN programs based on a variety of objective factors including student engagement, faculty credentials and training, peer assessment, services and technologies, and student excellence.

Dr. Hassan Aziz, CONHS Dean, says the accolade is not only a reflection of the college’s dedication to quality education, but also its mission to develop the next generation of passionate health care leaders. 

“We are thrilled that U.S. News & World Report has recognized our MSN program as one of the best in the nation,” Aziz said. “The ranking is a testament of the college’s commitment to academic innovation and to the unparalleled efforts of our world-class faculty and staff in support of our students. It is a strategic investment in our academic programs to continue further down the path of excellence.”

There are currently more than 160 Islanders enrolled in TAMU-CC online MSN programs, including Family Nurse Practitioner, Leadership in Nursing Systems, and Nurse Educator. The online programs are designed with flexibility and student success in mind, allowing students to manage academics, work, and family obligations.

TAMU-CC was additionally recognized as having one of the Best Online MSN Programs for veterans, coming it at No. 14. The ranking was earned based on criteria including quality distance education courses, the university’s status as a Yellow Ribbon school, and the number of students with military backgrounds.
