BBA at RELLIS: Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Extends BBA Program to Bryan, Texas Beginning Fall 2018

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The College of Business (COB) at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi joins other universities in the Texas A&M University System (TAMUS) in offering degree programs in Bryan, Texas at the new RELLIS Campus beginning Fall 2018. The RELLIS Campus is located at the former Bryan Air Base site and will combine the engineering and technical expertise of TAMUS research agencies such as Texas A&M Transportation Institute and the Center for Infrastructure Renewal with the educational programs of RELLIS Academic Alliance partners.

“The launch of the RELLIS Academic Alliance will allow A&M-Corpus Christi to extend our degree programs to a wider group of students to help achieve the 60X30TX higher education goals of the State of Texas,” said Dr. John Gamble, COB Dean at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. “Our Bachelor of Business Administration majors in accounting, finance, management and marketing are tightly aligned with workforce needs and will help prepare students in the Brazos Valley for successful careers in business.”

The COB at A&M-Corpus Christi is accredited by AACSB International in both accounting and business, a distinction held by only 1 percent of business schools worldwide. All features of the business program in Corpus Christi will be extended to the RELLIS Campus and will include internships with employers in Corpus Christi, Bryan-College Station, and other cities in Texas, study abroad programs in Europe, Latin America and Asia, and student organization engagement.

Rosalba Gutierrez, one of the first students to sign up for A&M-Corpus Christi BBA courses at the RELLIS Campus said when she heard about the opportunity she quickly pursued admission.

“It impressed me,” Gutierrez said. “A&M-Corpus Christi representatives talked about all you can learn in the program such as real estate, marketing, finance and entrepreneurship. They even offer study abroad.”

Gutierrez plans to major in management. She is a transferring from the nearby community college, Blinn. For Gutierrez, who runs her own foreign exchange trading business, it was too good an opportunity to pass up.

“I’m really looking forward to attending RELLIS and to being one of the first students to graduate from A&M-Corpus Christi at RELLIS,” she said.

Other TAMUS schools with programs at RELLIS Campus include Prairie View A&M University, Tarleton State University, Texas A&M International University, West Texas A&M University, Texas A&M University-Texarkana, Texas A&M University-Kingsville and Texas A&M University-Central Texas.
