Summary: This new work about civil rights activist, Hector P. Garcia, is like a Greek epic; not a tragedy—an epic. It is a legend of a forgotten hero’s needs at a time when heroes are in hiding and need to be called upon. Like legends of the past, Garcia is not perfect or God-like, which makes his actions accessible to all of us—not for fame but rather for honor. Deeds often require anonymity to succeed in times of darkness and corruption. Tonight, history shall shine light upon that which is worthy to withstand time.
