Physical Training

Work on skills like strength training, abs, and running. ROTC students train on campus Monday through Thursday mornings, and they welcome you to join in. Military service is not required, so if you're curious about ROTC or just want to get in shape, this is your chance. Participation is free.

6:00 to 7:00 a.m. Meet at the picnic tables outside the Dugan Wellness Center, between the Dugan and University Center entrances. Contact to confirm our schedule on any given day.


ROTC welcomes you to take a class. Learn tactics and leadership techniques from the most advanced army in the world - skills that will help you stand out in whatever career path you choose. The adventures take you from the classroom to real-world terrain practicing combat scenarios in Corpus Christi, San Antonio, and Falfurrias, Texas.

Or, sit in on a class to try it. The following 3-credit classes don't require a military commitment:

  1. Introduction to Tactical Leadership: MSCI 1171/2 (3 credits)
  2. Innovative Team Leadership: MSCI 2730 (3 credits)
  3. Foundations of Tactical Leadership: MSCI 2371 (3 credits)
