Privacy Statements for Academic Technologies
Privacy statements of academic technologies are essential in digital learning because they clarify how student and faculty data are collected, used, and protected. These statements help to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards, build trust in digital learning environments, and safeguard sensitive information critical to maintaining academic integrity and student success.
Privacy policies for any academic technologies utilized in a course must be posted to meet the Quality Matters Higher Education Rubric requirements. Below is a list of privacy statements for commonly used educational technologies. If you use a tool not listed, locate its privacy statement on the vendor’s website and add a link to it in your Canvas course.
To request that a new technology be added to the list, please email dlai@tamucc.edu with the link to its privacy statement.
