Leah Zhao

Leah Zhao is a Software Application Developer II at the Autonomy Research Institute (ARI) at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. She develops and maintains software solutions that support both research and operational needs, with a focus on data processing, system automation, and application development.
As a Software Engineer at ARI, she strives to take ownership of critical development tasks, enhance system performance through code optimization, and contribute to the design and implementation of new features.
Before joining ARI, Leah worked as a Software Development Engineer and UI/UX Designer, where she built scalable web applications and crafted intuitive user interfaces. Her experience bridges design and engineering, ensuring user-friendly experiences that meet both technical and business requirements.
Leah holds an M.S. in Computer Science from Lamar University and an M.F.A. in Visual Communication Design from Kent State University.
