Ian MacDonald
Ian MacDonald is an AI/ML Software Applications Developer/Programmer III for the Autonomy Research Institute (ARI) at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. In this position, Ian leads technical development of AI/ML-driven software solutions, overseeing full-stack web development, enabling developers, and system integration while ensuring compliance with technical standards and best practices.
Prior to this role, Ian has worked as an AI/ML Software Engineer, Full-stack Web Developer, Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer.
Ian is a first-generation graduate and holds a Double Major in Chemical Engineering and Physics from The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. Ian is a member of the Corpus Christi Rugby Football Club and plays on the 15s and 7s teams.
