About Alex Quarles
Alex Quarles serves as an Administrative Coordinator I for the Autonomy Research Institute (ARI) at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. In this role, Alex supports day-to-day administrative operations, including documentation, coordination across internal teams, and streamlining administrative processes that advance ARI’s research and institutional goals..
Prior to joining ARI, Alex worked with the City of Corpus Christi Health Department as a Management Analyst, where responsibilities included overseeing administrative operations, managing accounts payable, maintaining records retention in compliance with city and state regulations, and supporting fiscal management of a multi-million-dollar municipal budget. Alex also previously served as Sports and Aquatics Coordinator at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, overseeing program operations, procurement, budgeting, and compliance with Department of Defense and Non-Appropriated Fund regulations. Alex has also held administrative and operational roles within collegiate athletics at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, Newman University, and Oklahoma State University.
Alex holds a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Higher Education Administration from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and bachelor’s degrees in Sport Management and Marketing from Oklahoma State University.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys athletics operations, community-based programming, and finding ways to improve organizational efficiency through process improvement.
