Albert Bejarano
Albert Bejarano is the Project Director for Operations, Testing, and Evaluation (OTE) for the Autonomy Research Institute (ARI) at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. In his role, he oversees the Flight Operations Department, Airspace Department, and Software Development Department. OTE conducts coordination and execution of complex aviation and UAS testing operations across ARI’s ranges. Albert is responsible for operational planning, mission execution support, interdepartmental coordination, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols across all phases of research and public operations.

Prior to his current position, Albert served within ARI as the Aviation Safety Officer, where he led the development and implementation of safety programs, facilitated risk assessments, and promoted a safety-first culture across all operations. Albert brings over a 12 years of aviation experience, having previously served as the Airport Operations Manager at Corpus Christi International Airport and Airport Operations Supervisor at El Paso International Airport.

Albert earned his Master’s in Business Administration from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi and his Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management from Southern Illinois University–Carbondale. He holds the Certified Member (C.M.) designation from the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), an FAA Private Pilot Certificate, and a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
