Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society

Lambda Pi Eta (LPH) is the National Communication Association's (NCA) official honor society. As an accredited member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS), Lambda Pi Eta has over 500 active chapters at four-year colleges and universities. An induction ceremony is held each Spring. Inductees are encouraged to invite their family and friends to attend the ceremony and celebrate their achievements.
Requirements for Membership:
- Completed 60+ credit hours of coursework, with at least 12 hours in Communication at TAMU-CC
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0+
- Have a GPA of 3.25+ in all Communication coursework
- Be in good standing with the university
Students who meet the qualifications will be sent an invitation to join Lambda Pi Eta. Invitations will be sent to qualifying students' Islander email addresses in November and in March. Students choosing to accept membership must pay a one-time induction fee. Students will receive a membership certificate, lapel pin, and honors cords for graduation.
If a student does not receive an invitation but meets the requirements to join, they should submit an official copy of their TAMUCC transcript to brooke.friley@tamucc.edu
