TAMU-CC College of Business Receives Five-Year Extension of Prestigious AACSB Business and Accounting Accreditations

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The business and accounting degree programs in the College of Business at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi have undergone a successful five-year continuous improvement review and have maintained their accreditations by AACSB International—the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees in business and accounting.

AACSB Accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education, and has been earned by less than five percent of the world's business programs. Today, there are 836 business schools in 55 countries and territories that maintain AACSB Accreditation. Similarly, 189 institutions maintain an additional specialized AACSB Accreditation for their accounting programs.

“AACSB congratulates Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi on extending its accreditation,” said Stephanie M. Bryant, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB International. “The intense peer-review process confirms a school’s continued focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching, research, curricula development, and student learning.
