Make a Memory All Week Long During Homecoming 2019

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – From the Lighting of the “I” to the basketball games, Homecoming Week is a special time for Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi alumni, faculty, staff, and especially students. The theme for this year’s event is “Shakas Up!”

Set to take place Feb. 3-9, Homecoming Week offers myriad opportunities for alumni, students, and friends of the University to experience the unique culture of the Island University.

In conjunction with the Jan. 22 reading of the Corpus Christi City Council proclamation, the Coastal Bend community is invited to join in the Homecoming fun by wearing the color blue on Tuesday, Feb. 5, as part of “Bluesday Tuesday.” A weekly tradition at the Island University, Bluesday Tuesday is now open to the public to show their Islander spirit every Tuesday. The Island University is giving away a swag bag of A&M-Corpus Christi goodies along with a Yeti Roadie cooler to the winner of a Sport Your Islander Blue photo contest! To participate, be ready to share photos of you, your family or your co-workers wearing Islander blue on Feb. 5. See the Island University’s Facebook page for details.

Help kick off the week by cheering on your favorite team in the Student vs. Faculty/Staff Basketball Game at 7 p.m. on the evening of Monday, Feb. 4, or enjoy the prom-themed Islanderino casino event at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5.
