Honors Committee
Purpose or Function: The Honors Committee provides guidance and approval in matters of policy, planning, admissions, student support, and recruitment related to the Honors program.
Membership: The Honors Program Director (committee chair) and Honors Program Coordinator serve as voting ex-officio members of the committee. Faculty representatives are appointed by their dean/director and include one (1) member from each of the academic colleges/schools and the Mary and Jeff Bell Library, who preferably work in the Honors program. Staff representatives are appointed by the area supervisor and include one (1) representative each from each of the following: Academic Advising and Coaching, Student Engagement and Success, and Research and Innovation. These staff and faculty representatives serve two-year, renewable terms. Two (2) student representatives are appointed by the Honors Student Association and serve one-year, renewable terms.
