Calendar Committee

Purpose or Function: The Calendar Committee will make recommendations for modifications to upcoming calendars based on an analysis of previous academic calendars and the master university calendar so that there will be coordination of university scheduling.  The committee may appoint a subcommittee of appropriate personnel to oversee facilities use and management issues. 

Membership: The committee chaired by the University Registrar and consists of one (1) standing representative from each of the following units: the Provost’s Office, Institutional Advancement, Enrollment Management, Student Financial Assistance, Bursar, Islander Housing, Student Engagement & Success, Recreational Sports, Athletics, Research Engagement, Planning, Analytics, Institutional Research, and Strategic Initiatives, Information Technology, Facilities, University Services, and Deans Council. These members will be appointed by the area supervisor.  The committee also includes one (1) appointed representative from Staff Council and four (4) faculty members recommended by the Faculty Senate and appointed by the respective dean/director, which serve two-year terms.  One (1) appointed representative from Student Government Association will serve a one-year renewable term.  The Director of the Performing Arts Center serves as a voting ex-officio member.
