RoboWeek 2025
In celebration of National Robotics Week, the Islander Office of Student Excellence Experience (iSEE) of the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) College of Engineering and Computer Science hosted Islander RoboWeek on April 7-11. Citgo generously sponsored RoboWeek allowing for several events where students learned about robotics and robotics related research done here at TAMU-CC.
Islanders were invited to multiple educational talks with faculty, students, and guest speakers. From TAMU-CC, Dr. Pablo Rangel, an Assistant Professor of engineering, and Syed Ullah, a doctoral student of Computer Science, presented their robotics and autonomous systems research. Dr. Dugan Um opened the doors of his SMART Farm Lab for students to learn about his agriculture related research with hydroponic farming and AI technology. RoboWeek also featured two guest speakers from the Texas A&M AgriLife Center at Corpus Christi, Jose L. Landivar Scott and Dr. Juan A. Landivar-Bowles.
Through RoboWeek, students were given opportunities to expand their knowledge and interact with industry professionals, faculty, and graduate students participating in groundbreaking research.
