Biography
Amanda Macias has cultivated a career grounded in service, education, and advocacy. She began her professional career in 2009 after earning her CMAA certification. She has served in several roles in higher education, beginning at Del Mar College as a Career Mentor in 2016 and later as a Career Counselor in 2022. In 2019, she became certified through the Sexual Assault Training Program (SATP) by the Office of the Attorney General, and in 2024 she earned certification as a Psychological First Aid Responder through the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN).
In 2023, Ms. Macias joined Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi in the Graduate Admissions Department before transitioning to her current role as Academic Success Coordinator for the MBA and MAcc graduate programs in the College of Business. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Professional Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health. Her passion lies in empowering students to achieve their academic and professional goals, while also supporting their overall growth and well-being.
