Preparing to take the TSIA

• An explanation of the importance of the TSI Assessment and how the assessment works

• An explanation of your developmental education options at TAMU-CC, if you do not meet the minimum passing standards for math, reading, and writing
• Information on campus and community resources that will help you succeed as a college student

The TSI Assessment is a Texas exam.  It can be taken on-campus, off-campus at a participating remote test center, or virtually. The TSIA can be taken on-campus or off-campus. To locate a participating test center, visit the Accuplacer website.

For students that choose to take the TSIA at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, the cost of the TSI Assessment is $30; one section is $15.

Step 1. Visit the online TAMU-CC Marketplace to pay for the TSIA exam. After you have made the payment, you will receive an order number.

Step 2. Contact the Office of Academic Testing at 361.825.2334 or atcweb@tamucc.edu and schedule your appointment. Please be sure to provide them with your order number. The test is offered Monday thru Friday by appointment only. Students that require alternative arrangements should notify the Office of Academic Testing with the nature of the accommodation. A student can retest immediately, subject to availability.
