Department of Music Presents USAF Band of the West Spectrum Winds Guest Artist Recital

USAF Spectrum Concert

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Six world-class musicians that make up the Spectrum Winds Woodwind Quintet, a component of the United States Air Force Band of the West, will present a concert on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.

The concert, which is part of the guest artist recital presented by the Department of Music, is free, family-friendly, and open to the public. 

Spectrum Winds explores the diverse world of chamber music for winds and percussion, exposing audiences to traditional woodwind quintet literature, Latin, jazz, Celtic and more.

Spectrum Winds draws on a long heritage of chamber music from Mozart and Beethoven moving forward to contemporary jazz and pop music, marches and patriotic favorites. This performance will feature works by Tomasi, Copland, Filmore, and more.
