The University is Monitoring Tropical Storm Ingrid

UPDATE: Sunday, Sept. 15, at 6:40 p.m.: The National Weather Service is now reporting that Hurricane Ingrid is expected to enter Mexico Early Monday Morning. There are still no changes expected to the University schedule.

The Coastal Bend is expected to receive up to three inches of rain. Please take the appropriate precautions as the rain approaches.

UPDATE: Saturday, Sept. 14, at 4:40 p.m.: The University is still monitoring storm Ingrid that we have been told will become Hurricane Ingrid this afternoon.  At this time, the impacts expected for our campus are rainfall in the range of  2-4 inches through Tuesday evening.  Classes are still scheduled for Monday, Sept. 16. Watch local news for updates on road and weather conditions in the event the rainfall causes hazards.  We will post an update Sunday after 4 p.m. on the storm impact to campus.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The University is monitoring Tropical Storm Ingrid that has formed in the Gulf of Mexico. At this point, only rain is expected at the University through Wednesday, Sept. 18; the university will remain on a normal schedule.

We are taking precautions for any potential flooding that may affect the area. Please monitor your forecast for notices on the effects of the storm. Check back here throughout the duration of the storm for updates on any impacts of the weather on University services.
