Stuart Scott attended Texas A&M where he graduated and commissioned through the Corps of Cadets ROTC program in 2013. While there, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Russian with a minor in Military Studies. Stuart simultaneously served in the Texas National Guard as a Combat Engineer during this time.

Upon graduation, Stuart reported to the 4th Engineer Battalion where he served as an assistant operations officer before taking command of a route clearance platoon in the 576th Route Clearance Company. Stuart additionally spent several months in Baumholder, Germany with the 4th Infantry Division mission command element providing staff planning assistance for Brigade Combat Teams rotating into theatre.

Stuart left Active Duty in 2017 to pursue a career in Law Enforcement. Stuart began as a detentions deputy with the El Paso Sheriff’s Office before going to the Arvada Police Department as a Patrol Officer. Stuart served in many functions to include an Arrest Control Instructor, Crime Scene Specialist, and SWAT Operator for the City of Arvada and Jefferson County, located on the west side of the Denver Metro area. During this time, Stuart transitioned into the Army reserves and is currently in command of Alpha Company, 405th Civil Affairs Battalion located in Salt Lake City Utah.

Stuart’s background in military and public safety, along with a keen interest in UAS aviation, are what lead him to the Lone Star UAS Center of Excellence.
