Jonathan Alayon-Morales is a UAS Pilot II for the Lone Star Unmanned Aerial Systems Center (LSUASC) of Excellence and Innovation, Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. Jonathan is a member of the Research and Development team that is responsible for conducting general flight and pre-flight duties to accomplish the center’s testing and development plans, and to provide flight services to support data collection for UAS emerging technologies.

Prior to joining the LSUASC team, Jonathan served as a Field Service Representative for Insitu, Inc. – A Boeing Company, performing duties as a Pilot/Maintainer/Instructor/Mission Coordinator/Video Exploitation System Operator. He troubleshooted and coordinated with peers in working with different types of payloads, engine modules, software/hardware for ground control stations, and launch/recovery equipment. He contributed with training and passing more than 40 students in a Foreign Military Sales contract and provided advisory to US Armed Forces and Foreign Armed Forces in 8 deployments in Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia, acquiring more than five years of experience working in Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance as a UAS Operator.

Jonathan is a Navy veteran who has worked with Naval Special Warfare for Operation Freedom’s Sentinel/Operation Resolute Support, Coastal Riverine Squadron, Navy Operational Support Center and Naval Air Technical Training Center. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology with a Minor in Chemistry from Inter American University of Puerto Rico.
