This article discusses the signing into law legislation that designates CCSU as a 4-year university and other voices in support of this legislation. Sugg states that the challenges are "an opportunity to develop and excellent undergraduate program" and his first step in the process is to create a planning committee. The article further reflects on Sugg's memories of the start of this process in 1986, the difficulties faced, and the perseverance and cooperative efforts it took between various USST components to now focus on a "new era for CCSU" and the community.
