State Authorization
U.S. Department of Education (USDOE) requires all higher education institutions to comply with applicable state laws and licensure requirements regarding state authorization of distance education. Before Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi can accept an enrollment from an exclusively online student, the University must be in compliance with the regulations on distance education in the state in which the student resides.
TAMU-CC is authorized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to offer its programs to residents in Texas and is in compliance with regulations regarding postsecondary distance education for the state.

State Authorization Approved States
Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi's membership in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) allows TAMU-CC to conduct limited activities* within the NC-SARA member states and territories indicated below. Other specific agreements allow TAMU-CC to conduct 100% online learning activities to students residing in California.
Students considering a nursing academic program that leads to a professional license in a state or require a clinical internship in that state should contact the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at 361.825.2799 and the appropriate licensing agency in that state for guidance BEFORE pursuing the academic program located outside their home state.
