Vision, Mission, & Service Philosophy Statements

Vision statement

The Mary and Jeff Bell Library will be an indispensable partner in the University's commitment to academic excellence and in preparing students for lifelong learning and responsible citizenship in the Coastal Bend and the global community. As the library of both a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) and a Minority-Serving Institution (MSI), we will build a reputation as a place of open sharing of ideas. We will work to close socio-economic gaps regarding access to knowledge and technology. Our constant drive to improve will make the Library an environment where technology blends with personalized service to empower research, creative thought, and digital awareness. Our innovative services will have a positive impact on the cultural and intellectual development of our users.

Mission statement

The Mary and Jeff Bell Library provides a welcoming environment for the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi community to collaborate, explore the ideas of the past, and create the knowledge of the future. The Library provides excellent services and information resources to support research, learning, creation, and the sharing of knowledge.
