Yes, living on-campus at Miramar for two semesters (fall/spring) is required for first-year students. Please visit the Residency Requirement page for more information.

Absolutely! PSA students fall under the same residency requirement as other Islanders. 

Yes! Transfer and graduate students are welcome to live at Momentum Village and Miramar. Please note that Miramar is reserved for all First-Year students, so options there will be limited. 

Married students may live together in a 2-bedroom unit as long as each is an enrolled student. Each person will have their own bedroom and housing contract. Minor dependent children of students may not reside on-campus.

Pets are only allowed at Momentum Village in certain buildings. You must apply for pet friendly housing. Pets are not allowed at Miramar. The only exception is fish in a maximum 15-gallon tank. Service and assistance animals are not considered pets and are permitted under specific circumstances. Please contact the offices for more information.

Yes, summer housing is available. Students wishing to live at Miramar and Momentum Village during the summer will need to renew and sign a summer housing contract. Please contact Islander Housing for more information about summer housing options.

Yes, if there is an available room. Simply contact us to ask about current availability.

The university does not manage or support any off-campus apartments. Several local apartment companies target college students, but they are not affiliated in any way with TAMU-CC. Our two exclusive Islander Housing properties are Miramar on the Island Campus and Momentum Village on the Momentum Campus.

Yes, there is a $100 application fee. For more information about the application process can be found here.

Yes, there is a $150 deposit. Students will receive a refund at the end of their housing contract as long as there is no damage or outstanding fees associated with their account.

Residence hall rooms and apartments with shared bathrooms are assigned as single-gender units based on gender provided through the University's admission application. There are no gender-specific buildings or floors, so neighbors may be of any gender. At Momentum Village, students can voluntarily opt into Gender Inclusive Housing (GIH), where residents in an apartment or townhome may be of any gender expression. To obtain more information about GIH, please email Momentum Village.  

Yes, the University does offer meal plans. Miramar residents are required to purchase a meal plan for the fall and spring semesters. The type of plan required is based on the type of room you live in (apartment or residence hall). Momentum Village residents have the option to purchase any of the commuter or residential meal plans but are not required to purchase a plan. More information can be found on the Meal Plan website. Meal plans are NOT included in the housing cost and are added to a residents' SAIL (tuition & fees) account.

Yes, you may select your roommate(s) and room. If you want to live with a particular person, both students should apply and select rooms at or close to the same time. Applicants may select the exact room they wish to live in from the options available at that time.

The online housing portal allows housing applicants to search for a roommate(s) based on various factors in the applicant’s housing profile. Applicants can send and respond to messages to and from potential roommates through the online portal.
