The Office of Community Outreach creates successful partnerships with the community, engages faculty and students, and provides programs to support a higher quality of life for the residents of the Coastal Bend. Community Outreach provides youth initiatives, educator training, on-campus event coordination and other programs. One of its components, Pollution Prevention Partnership, addresses the city’s air quality.
Dr. Hector P. Garcia Plaza
Surrounded by lush landscaping and brilliant blooms, the Dr. Hector P. Garcia Plaza honors the veteran and South Texas physician who led the way for the rights enjoyed today by many throughout our nation. The plaza is a prime location for outdoor relaxation and numerous public celebrations.

The breathtaking scenery and serenity of Ward Island and its coastal wildlife are reasons many fitness enthusiasts and nature lovers flock to the lighted Hike and Bike Trail that follows the campus shoreline.
Art Museum of South Texas
Located in downtown Corpus Christi, the Art Museum of South Texas is a world-class facility affiliated with A&M-Corpus Christi showcasing a colorful variety art collected from throughout the South Texas region.
Performing Arts Center
Overlooking the Corpus Christi Bay, the beautiful Performing Arts Center features a 1,500-seat concert hall where local, national and international artists perform on the finest stage in the Coastal Bend.
