Islander Alumni Ambassador Program

Drop admissions materials off at local high schools and offer to be a resource for them.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Mark your calendar for September and February! Connect with your local high school counselor(s) and schedule a time to drop off admission brochures and a TAMU-CC pennant.

But wait, there's more! If you're up for it, host a TAMU-CC information table during the school's lunch period, parent night, or campus event. We'll provide you with all the necessary items. 

If the school is hosting a college fair and you are willing to attend, this is a great opportunity to request that TAMU-CC be added to their invitation list.  

Host an information table at a college fair in your area. Depending on where you are located, we will ask for volunteers to assist with covering a college fair to connect with high school students interested in learning more about TAMU-CC. 

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Attend a college fair and professionally represent TAMU-CC. Admissions materials will be shipped to you to display on your table. Don't worry if you don't know all the answers. Your main job is to collect students' information and encourage them to visit campus. 

The TAMU-CC Admissions Office hosts events in our major recruitment regions: San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Houston, and the Rio Grande Valley. Join us to connect with prospective and admitted students and their families. We are always looking to expand into new markets. 

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist with event logistics such as setting up and take-down, check-in, and connect with students and their families to share your enthusiasm about TAMU-CC. Don't miss out on the fun! Let's show everyone why TAMU-CC is a first-choice institution! 

We may also contact you for recommendations for event locations. Often alumni are able to secure corporate locations for TAMU-CC at little to no cost, and students are always impressed by these connections, which are further evidence of the success of Islander graduates.

Attend an Island Day or Admitted Student Day event on campus. The Admissions Office is looking for enthusiastic alumni interested in talking to prospective students and their families at our major recruitment events.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Wear your blue and green! During our major recruitment events, alumni welcome future students and their families to campus, offer insight on their TAMU-CC experience, and hand out t-shirts to future students in exchange for their evaluation. Let's work together to host an unforgettable experience and help students envision their own Islander journey! 

Send a congratulatory note to newly admitted students to welcome them to the Islander Family!

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

All you have to do is fill out THIS FORM and let us know where you would like for us to send your blank cards. We’ll then communicate with you once we have items to sign. We’ll mail you instructions, a pre-paid return envelope, and even an official #IslanderForever Sharpie so that you can start writing your special notes.

This engagement opportunity is open to all alumni. 

We want to share your success stories with Future Islanders on social media (Instagram). We would love to share your photo, your Islander Experience, and any advice you may have for future students.
