Viking Islander Program (VIP)

Students with conditional admittance into the Viking Islander Program (VIP) are in the Academic Coaching Program and work with Academic Success Coaches to assist with their transition to college. Academic Success Coaches and peer coaches assist VIP students with academic skills needed to be successful at TAMU-CC and Del Mar College. 

Admissions Agreement for VIP students:

• Enroll in no more than 7 semester credit hours at TAMU-CC
• Enroll in the remaining credit hours toward their 15 semester credit hours, during the fall and spring semesters, at Del Mar College.
• Students who complete two or more semesters in the VIP program and maintain a 2.0 GPA at both institutions may apply to a degree-granting major at TAMU-CC
