The Honors Community

We believe that a successful Honors Program builds a supportive community for high-ability students. We build this community through:

  • An active Honors Student Association
  • A vibrant community service program
  • Physical spaces such as our Honors Residence Hall and Honors Lounge
  • Honors Classes
  • Notation as Honors Program Graduate on diploma
  • Personalized advising
  • Early course registration
  • Peer mentoring

We support community service and service-learning projects via the Honors Student Association. In 2021, Honors students served a total of 2,152 hours in our community. For the 2022-23 academic year, students will be required to engage in at least twelve service events, including our signature Program events, such as Honors Symposium, and The Big Event.
