The Women's Center for Education & Service has been
helping the
women of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Achieve since 1995.
The Center has impacted thousands as it works to improve the well being
of the women faculty, staff, and students where they live, work and
learn. The Women's Center continues the tradition of support, education
and advocacy by creating and sponsoring programs throughout the
University as well as neighboring communities.
Announcements & Upcoming Events
Think Pink Group Photo - October 8th 12:00pm UC Commons - TAMU-CC students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to wear pink as a campus wide show of support in the fight of breast cancer. Don't have a pink shirt? Not to worry - the Women's Center will be selling Paint The Island Pink t-shirts in the UC foyer from 10:00 - 12:00pm for $10.
Lights of Life Celebration - October 8th 7:00-8:45pm Garcia Plaza - Gather with the Women's Center as we light candles as an affirmation of courage for those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and as we remember the lives of those who have lost their battle. Attendees will have a chance to honor their loved ones and to share their stories and experiences.
Paint The Island Pink Expo - October 9th 10:00-1:00pm UC Lonestar Ballroom - Join us as we showcase the treatment, care, and support resources that are available in the Coastal Bend. Survivors and local doctors will be on hand to share their stories and to answer questions.
Paws For A Cause - October 10th 6:00-7:30pm Hike & Bike Trail - Bring your dog and your whole family to walk in support of breast cancer awareness. There is a $5 entry fee per dog and all proceeds benefit First Friday, a local group that underwrites free mammograms for uninsured and underinsured individuals in South Texas.
