CHEM 1312 - General Chemistry II CHEM 4424 - Physical Chemistry II
CHEM 4420 - Biophysical Chemistry

Research Interests:

Applications of spectroscopy to proteins, including the use of kinetic infrared and fluorescence spectroscopy to measure the time scale of protein folding.  Current projects include the use of “caged” compounds to initiate protein folding or functional events, which are measured by both kinetic and temperature-derivative methods.

Molecular modeling to simulate protein folding, including methods to simulate pH-induced protein folding in order to compare simulations with experimental results.
