The Islander Student Athletic Trainers' Association was
founded in 2000, shortly after the beginning of the Islander Athletic Training program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
The Association is a non-profit student organization designed to foster
cooperation and camaraderie between Athletic Training Students.
I.S.A.T.A. is also a way for students' to organize fundraisers to raise
money that can be used to purchase various clothing apparel and both
Christmas and end of the year celebrations, where awards and honors are
given out to deserving Athletic Training Students.
Islander Athletic Training Students are required to be members of
I.S.A.T.A. and the NATA.
Our Organization also participates in community services helping out at
such events as Conquer the Coast, High School Cross-Country meet, blood
drives, and various other activities.
Every March, I.S.A.T.A. is also an active participate in National
Athletic Training Month, which is designed to increase public awareness
of the Athletic Training Profession.
