Guarantee your loan(s)
If you were awarded and have elected to take out any student loans, you will be required to complete a loan application through TG Loans By Web. Parents taking out Parent PLUS Loans are required to complete a similar process.
Good things to know before you get started
- You can only receive a loan by completing an application through TG Loans By Web. If you do not have access to a computer with an Internet connection, contact our office or TG (Texas Guaranteed).
- If this is your first Stafford student loan, you have to complete an entrance loan counseling session.
- Be prepared to provide the name, address, and phone number of two references. Your references cannot share the same last name, address, or phone number.
- To ensure the prompt delivery of your loan information, please provide a valid e-mail address.
- You must have Adobe Acrobat installed to print your Master Promissory Note (MPN), the Borrower's Rights and Responsibilities, and Addendum.
- You may have the option to electronically sign (E-Sign) a MPN with certain lenders. To do so, you will be asked to provide your Department of Education Personal Identification Number (PIN). If you do not have a PIN, you can obtain one at www.pin.ed.gov.
- Do not send signed MPNs to our office. We will be notified of your loan electronically.
- TG communicates important loan processing information via e-mail. To prevent delays, promptly read and act upon e-mails from TG (Texas Guaranteed) and TG Customer Assistance.
