1.1 |
The University considers student publications
a valuable aid in establishing and maintaining an atmosphere of free
and responsible discussion. Student publications are a means of disseminating
news, of bringing campus concerns to the attention of the university
community, and of formulating opinions on local, national, and international
issues. |

Each publication should provide a full
opportunity for students to inquire, question and exchange ideas.
Content should reflect a diversity of student interests, including
topics about which there may be dissent or controversy. |
| |
|
|
|
| |
1.3 |
The University assumes no liability for
the content of any student publication and urges student journalists
to recognize that with editorial control comes responsibility to follow
professional journalism standards. |
| |
|
|
|
| |
1.4 |
Students may publish and distribute publications
on campus as long as they do not violate reasonable restrictions as
to time and place of distribution and do not disrupt the educational
process. |
