First-Year Improvement (FYI) Council

Purpose or Function: Implements the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) Hallmarks of Excellence criteria to ensure improvement of the A&M-Corpus Christi First-Year Program.

Membership: Co-Director of Core Curriculum, academic advising representative, core program coordinator, Inst. Effectiveness representative, two representatives from the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, faculty member actively engaged in First-Year instruction, a sophomore student who has completed their first year at A&M-Corpus Christi (spring), a second semester freshman who has completed first semester at A&M-Corpus Christi, and the Student Government President or designee, Provost, and Vice President for Student Affairs.
