Ceremonies Committee

Purpose or Function:The Committee coordinates academic ceremonies such as graduation, academic honors, dean investitures, and other academic ceremonies and makes recommendations concerning the program, speaker, processional, and general pomp and circumstance of the occasion. 

Membership:Administrative Assistant to the President, the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, representatives from the Provost’s Office and the Office of the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, Director of Admissions and Records, Assistant Director of Admissions and Records, the University Band Director, one representative selected by the Faculty Senate, and one representative from each of the following: Disability Services, Student Activities, Student Affairs, the College Deans’ Council, and Physical Plant, and other relevant university units as determined by the Provost.
