An Outstanding Islander

Full-length photo of Giancarlo BerrocalHonors student Giancarlo Berrocal was given an opportunity in the spring to network with 600 decision-makers from around the world. The senior finance and accounting major was one of 200 outstanding students from 60 countries invited to participate in the international essay competition of the 38th annual St. Gallen Symposium held in Switzerland. As a St. Gallen Wings of Excellence Award recipient, Berrocal, a native of Lima, Peru, received a trip to present his paper, “Financial Instruments Innovation: Risk or Negligence?”
