
Top Scholar Focused on the Water
A 100 grade point average in high school has definitely paid dividends for Presidential Top Scholar Brittany Horton. The freshman biology major from San Antonio, who maintains a 4.0 grade point average, says she's fortunate to have received the most prestigious academic achievement award offered by the University, providing her with a $32,000 scholarship. The award has definitely changed her outlook on life and made attaining a college education within her reach. Brittany dreams of a career as an aquatic animal trainer and she's on the right path. In October, Brittany became a volunteer at the Texas State Aquarium.
