CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s emergency notification system is now open to parents, university neighbors and interested community members.
“We are pleased to offer this system to keep all our Island University parents and neighbors updated during times of emergencies,” said Dr. Flavius Killebrew, President and CEO of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. “The safety of our Islanders is a top priority for all of us.”
Those interested may sign up online at codeblue.tamucc.edu to receive texts, phone calls, or emails in the event of an emergency affecting the campus.
The Code Blue Emergency Notification System messages may include hurricane warnings, school closures, delays and evacuations. The severity of the situation determines the mode of communication.
Community members and parents were previously directed to sign up for notices through an RSS feed, but are now eligible to receive notices directly through the system.
