Teacher Education Program Honored for Community Engagement, Curriculum, Development

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The Center for Research, Education and Advancement of Teacher Education (CREATE) has recognized Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s College of Education's Teacher Education Field-Based Program as an exemplary K-12 partnership through the Quest for Quality: Teacher Preparation in Texas initiative.

CREATE recognizing K-12 partnerships in one or more separate categories. Programs all across Texas are nominated in individual categories, then reviewed and selected by state and national reviewers. The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi program was recognized in three of the four categories:

  •          Professional Development Program
  •          University-School-Community Engagement Program
  •          Curriculum Enhancement Initiative

The program will receive recognition on the Quest for Quality website and other avenues created by CREATE.
